2Baba Accuses Family of Fueling Crisis, Endangering Wife Natasha

Nigerian music star Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has accused members of his family of spreading damaging rumours about his personal life and endangering his partner, Natasha.

In a video posted on X.com late Thursday, the singer said the situation had “gotten dangerously out of hand,” insisting he would no longer remain silent while false narratives were being circulated.

“I’m a grown man and I have the right to be with whoever I want,” he said. He alleged that while some relatives claimed they were trying to “save” him, they had instead worsened the situation and caused Natasha to receive death threats.

2Baba acknowledged that he and Natasha, like any couple, had disagreements but dismissed claims that he was mentally unstable, saying he was “perfectly okay” and had recently performed in Abuja.

He criticised what he described as a pattern of interference from his family, recalling similar tensions involving his former partner, Annie. “My family did this with Annie. This has become dangerous. Natasha is getting death threats. It’s not fair,” he said.

The singer also accused former associates of spreading lies about him, saying such actions were “equivalent to killing somebody.”

He vowed to address the matter more extensively in the coming days and appealed to the public to stop the harassment. “This has got to stop. Please, have human conscience,” he pleaded.

The controversy follows earlier reports that 2Baba was briefly detained by UK police after an alleged altercation with Natasha during his October tour. The issue resurfaced when broadcaster Daddy Freeze hosted an Instagram Live session during which the couple were heard arguing, sparking renewed speculation about a crisis in their relationship.
